Melanie’s passion for loving and helping animals came from her dad. She grew up with many animals including chickens, a goat, a duck named Lucky, and many more. Her interest in animal health grew through helping and watching her dad take loving care of any animal that joined the family. During high school, she volunteered at a clinic in Best Friends Animal Shelter. Since then she knew she wanted to pursue a career in the veterinary field. She graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Health Science and obtained her RVT license shortly after. Her goal is to make all animals feel safe and as comfortable as possible. Outside of work she enjoys being outdoors in nature, spending time with her family, caring for her birds, as well as cuddling her dog and two cats.
