We Work Differently
Meadowmont Animal Hospital has been a trusted part of the Chapel Hill community since 2015, founded by Dr. Ashley Robertson to provide a warm and welcoming space where pets and their families receive exceptional care.
Dr. Ashley Robertson, a Chapel Hill native, returned home to establish Meadowmont with a vision of offering compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine. She leads the practice with a commitment to treating every pet like family.
Dr. Gordon, originally from New England, brings a diverse background and a passion for all creatures, from dogs and cats to pocket pets, birds, and reptiles. With degrees in animal and avian sciences from the University of Maryland and laboratory animal science from Drexel University, he completed his veterinary training at Tufts University. Dr. Gordon is dedicated to keeping your pets happy and healthy, no matter their size or species.
Together, they have built a compassionate and skilled team, united by a shared mission: to provide exceptional, heartfelt care to every pet that walks through their doors. At Meadowmont Animal Hospital, every furry, feathered, or scaly family member is treated as one of their own, with a commitment to ensuring pets and their people feel supported, valued, and truly cared for.

Creating a Culture of Connection and Care
We do things a little differently when it comes to building our team. It’s not just about finding the perfect fit on paper – we’re looking for people who genuinely connect with our values and culture. That’s why our hiring process goes beyond the resume. Every chosen candidate is invited to our practice for an on-site interview, giving them the chance to meet the team and experience our unique environment firsthand. It’s all about making sure we fit together, not just professionally, but as a supportive, cohesive family.
We believe in creating an environment where our team truly thrives. Here, it’s not just about a job – it’s about being part of a team that cares as much about each other as we do about our patients.

Fostering Community
Since its founding in 2015, Meadowmont Animal Hospital has been more than just a veterinary practice – we’ve been a proud and active part of our local animal welfare community. Being a good neighbor means stepping up when it matters most, and we’re committed to supporting not just pets and their families, but also the other veterinarians, shelters, and organizations that make this community so special.
We show this commitment in many ways, whether it’s offering vouchers for first-time appointments to foster and adoptive pet parents, partnering with mobile vets and specialists to expand care options, or lending a helping hand in times of crisis.
At Meadowmont Animal Hospital, we mean it when we say we’re here for our community. Whether it’s fostering collaboration, stepping up during emergencies, or simply being a resource for pet parents, we’re proud to be a trusted partner to those who share our dedication to animal health and welfare. These are just a few examples of how we’re working to make a difference every day.
