New Patients
We love our community as well as growing new relationships with local pet owners. Between treating the pets of graduate students and professors at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the families and surrounding community of Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Durham, Hillsborough, Cary, or Raleigh, North Carolina, we see new and returning pet patients from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, and from 8:00 am till 12 pm on Saturdays.
On top of scheduled wellness checks, we also offer same-day appointments, urgent care, and hospitalization during business hours with referrals for pets that need overnight critical care.

What to Expect For Your First Visit
For your first visit, we kindly ask that you provide us with the name of the previous veterinary hospital so we can obtain full medical records. This helps us obtain a complete medical history to provide the best care for your pet. Please also complete the new client registration form ahead of your visit.
On the day of your appointment, arrive 15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. Once you check-in, we’ll welcome you and your furry, feathered, or scaly family member into the exam room, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience.
During your appointment, the doctor will address any concerns you have, review your pet’s history, and offer personalized recommendations, such as dietary tips or vaccination updates. If it’s a wellness visit, your appointment may conclude with an invitation to return next year—or sooner if your pet needs anything. For other concerns, the doctor may suggest diagnostic tests, like X-rays or bloodwork, or recommend treatments, such as antibiotics, medications, or dental and surgical treatments.
After discussing treatment options, one of our amazing veterinary assistants or technicians will provide a detailed treatment plan, including costs, and help you decide on the best path forward. At the end of your visit, our team will assist with scheduling follow-ups, demonstrate how to administer any medications, and share tips for ongoing care.
