Practitioner Preceptor Program for Veterinary Students
As part of their education, veterinary students must spend time in private practices to gain hands-on experience and knowledge of veterinary hospitals and procedures. At White Bear Animal Hospital, we have proudly hosted many students over the years, and we value these opportunities to both teach and learn from future veterinary professionals.

Shadow-A-Vet / Shadow-A-Tech Program
Our Shadow-A-Vet and Shadow-A-Tech programs are designed for middle-school and high-school students exploring a future in veterinary medicine. These opportunities allow students to observe daily activities in a veterinary hospital and gain insight into the profession to help decide if veterinary medicine is the right career path for them.
- Observe Veterinary Procedures: Spend time shadowing our veterinarians and technicians during appointments, treatments, and surgeries.
- Explore Veterinary Medicine: This is a unique opportunity for young students to gain exposure to the field and understand what it takes to become a vet or a vet tech.
- Engaging Experience: We love seeing new generations take an interest in veterinary medicine, and we encourage curiosity and questions during your shadowing experience.
